Hexagon 5 x 7 Fun Fold

One of my lovely customers gave me the dimensions for this fun fold.  I love the 5 x 7 size and I cannot stop making them.  The first couple I made I cut the wrong end but it still worked ok.  Watch the video in my group or on tube (Feb 20th) and it will help a lot.  Links under the pics.

The dimensions are below

Card stock 10 1/2 by 7

Score at 1 1/2, 3 1/2, 5, 6 1/2, 8 1/2, 10

Turn and score at 1 1/2 and 5 1/2 only to the 4th score line.  Be sure you are scoring on the end with a 1/2 fold

Fold all score lines and cut away the center in between the score lines.

Registration is now open for February's Kit Club.  This is held every 3rd Wednesday at my home from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. 

Beginning in February if you prefer an online option, please let me know.  If enough interest I will offer this via zoom on another date and will mail your kits to you or offer a local pick up.  There will be an additional charge for shipping and will not come in a box to keep shipping costs down.

Stamping Through the Catalogue-Seaside Wishes

 This will be a weekly series with the video on Facebook Every Friday afternoon at 2:00 pm PT  I will create a card from the catalogue replicating it as close to possible.   Then I will create 2 or 3 more cards showing different ways of using the stamp set.

This card is from the Seaside Wishes catalogue on page 73. I used basic white card stock, Crumb Cake, and Berry Burst ink. I stamped off to create the background. I popped up the first layer with dimensionals. The card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 score at 4 1/4. The mat is basic white cut at 5 1/2 by 4. The background was stamped using crumb cake and stamped off so not as dark and the star fish are stamped off using berry burst.

The card below was made using crumb cake with a Coastal Cabanna mat. The star fish are die cut using Calypso coral. The Happy Birthday was stamped from the So Sincere Stamp set. The seaweed was diecut using old olive. The dimensions for this card are Crumb Cake cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. The mat is cut at 5 1/4 by 4 using Coastal Cabanna and the 2nd mat is 5 by 3 3/4. The Happy Birthday was stamped using the So Sincere Stamp Set.

This third card is using Beige Cardstock and I used Crumb cake to ink the edges of the mat and sand dollars.  I cut the sand dollars using the 3d embossing folder with die.  Love the detail in these die cuts Watch the video to see how they were created.  So fun. The dimensions for this card are Beige card stock cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  The mat is 5 1/4 x 4 and I used scrap pieces of Berry Burst for the starfish.    . 

The final card was using beige cardstock and Calypso Coral embossed with the 3d embossing folder.  The Happy Birthday sentiment was from Adventurous Sky. Dimensions for this card are beige cardstock cut 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at  2 1/8 and 4 1/4.  The Calypso Coral pieces are 2 x 5 3/8 You will need 2 of these.

Card Sketch # 3

 

Thank you for dropping by and participating in Card Sketch # 3.  

For this Card Sketch I used the current in colors Peach Pie and Shy Shamrock.  

The dimensions are on the diagram below.  The only change is the sentiment strip is 3 x 3/4 not 3 x 3 1/4

This is the card Sketch we are working from.  Instructions and dimensions will be listed below. 

 

This is the card I made using these dimensions. 

Materials used

Blueberry Bushel Cardstock

Meandering Meadows DSP

white cardstock

Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls 

Instructions:

To begin I cut a card base from blueberry bushel 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2

I cut a piece of blueberry bushel cardstock 4  x 3 1/4 and embossed using the painted texture embossing folder

Dsp is cut to 5 1/4 x 4 for the mat and 4 x 31/4 for smaller mat

I cut a piece of white card stock 4 x 3/4 and another for inside card at 5 1/4 x 4

I attached the first mat to the card base using tombow liquid adhesive.  (like my glueholder?  :) 

 On the smaller cardstock and dsp I added dimensionals to the back of each and then attached on an angle

 I stamp the sentiment in melon mambo from Thoughtful expressions and just angled the sentiment strip and attached with dimensions. 

  

For the inside I attached white cardstock using adhesive and put a strip of dsp down the left side. 

Also the envelope was decorated with some leftover dsp.
